  1. Great recipe THANKS! Easy and quick! I used 2 avocados instead of one. I used shredded vegan parm instead of regular (so my vegan daughter could enjoy it too). And I added a can of diced tomatoes. Delicious! Me and my 19 and 21 year old DAUGHTERS enjoyed it very MUCH, several times!!!

  2. This is now one of my favorite go-to recipes! It is a delicious, easy meat-free option. Thank you!

  3. So delicious and so quick! I was looking for a quick meal and had all pf these ingredients in the house. Served over chickpea pasta with a few turkey meatbAlls, and hubby and i were quite happy.

I enjoyed this a lot! I would recommend adding less of the garlic (like 1 clove tops), but otherwise, perfect for me!

  11. I found The raw garlic to be kind Of overwhelming so i added a spoonful of greek yogurt which mellowed it out.

  12. Made this for dinner tonight. The only thing I didn’t have was fresh basil, parsley or cilantro so I used a bit of dried basil. It was fabulous. I will make this again and again. I have just recently started using avocados and was looking for simple but delicious recipes.

  13. Great recipe!! My bf and I loved it. I added some cherry tomatoes and corn to the dish and it gave a little extra flavor but the recipe as is tasted delicious already.

  14. Thanks for the delicious and easy recipe. We loved it so much we had it two nights in a row. It also tastes nice with some cherry tomatoes to add some tang.

    1. Just added the nutritional info under the recipe. There are 10.7 g per serving.

    2. Thanks for a great recipe!! I made it for my family and friends and it was all they could talk about for 2 days !!!
Making it again after church and serving with baked chicken. This is at the top of our favorites now !!!

  15. I must have used a really large avicadi because I had to add another cup of pasta. This tasted great, though. For an even “cheesier” taste, add 1-2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast.

  16. How well do you think this would do in the freezer? Would love to have some ready made sauce!

    1. I froze my extras and it was just as delicious! It only was in the freezer for about a week because it was so good I had to eat it again, so I’m not sure how long it would last after a week 🙂

  17. Has anyone tried nutritional yeast in place of the cheese for a vegan version?

  18. As a dietician I am constantly cautioning people that although avocado is a healthy fat, it is still fat and high in calories. If you are trying to lose weight you should have no more than a half an avocado per day or less often.

    1. Thanks for your input, Ruthie! We try not to have too much but it’s just so good!

    2. I made this and I found it serves at least 4 so ends up being about a 1/4 avo per person. Hope that helps!

      1. Gawd…I just made this, tossed with prosciutto and toasted walnuts…fantastic!

    3. Still better than the alternative though right? Don’t knock it just because avocado has fat in it!

    4. Looks like the recipe uses one avocado and serves three people.

  19. I tried it and it’s incredible. Perfect combo!

  20. it was OK
But it tasted like guac on my pasta..and i dunno how i feel about it.

    1. Yeah my family thought so too – my daughter added beans and dipped chips in it! Not my favorite
