Chocolate Chip Cookie BrowniesYou guys!

Let me start off by saying how excited I am to sure these delicious chocolate chip cookie stuffed brownie bars with you today.

These bars are so creative yet so simple and are seriously the best of my two favorite desserts on earth. You no longer have to choose between a brownie or a chocolate chip cookie because  you can have it all in one! I mean how can you choose one over the other anyway right?!

These yummy brownies are topped with a layer of my favorite chocolate chip cookie dough recipe, then baked, then it all forms into one super-duper yummy chocolate chip cookie brownie!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies
Chocolate Chip Cookie BrowniesYou can take several routes with this recipe. Either use store-bought brownie mix or/and chocolate chip cookie mix and follow the directions to mak it that way. Or you can make my favorite cocoa brownies recipe and follow the chocolate chip cookie recipe below.

The recipe calls for 35-40 minutes baking time just to be sure the brownies are cooked through, butttt I’m going to admit I’ve always been an under-baker. I like to remove the brownies from the oven at 30 minutes and keep em nice and gooey. If your pan is glass then it will take the brownies a little longer to bake and 35-40 minutes should be perfect

I topped my brownies with an extra sprinkle of chocolate chips just because I LOVE em. This recipe calls for a 8×8 pan or a 9×9 pan. I would also like to mention since lots of people don’t have the small square pan, for the 3×9 pan double the brownie recipe (or use 2 mixes) and only make one batch of the chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Cut them into 16 small bars because they are very thick and any bigger than that is too much for a serve. As always, feel free to add additional toppings into the batter as well. Have fun and enjoy! 🙂

  1. I made these and I am a regular baker.
9×9 pan. I had to cook them for 50 to 55 mins to get them cooked. Too much cookie dough. It was literally raw in the middle.
They were good, but recipe needs tweaking.

    1. Heide again. ;).
I wanted to add to my comment that after baking, cookie top was very hard and brownies were very soft and gooey.
I read similar recipes snd many used a 9×13 pan and covered the pan for half of the bake time and then uncovered the pan for the remainder of the bake time. This probably helped to bake all through and keep the cookies soft. Good recipe with tweaking will work. I will make again and use larger pan and I will use a different recipe. Thanks.

  2. Should i turn on both the heating rods in my otg oven? Or just the lower one like we do for regular baking?

  3. Recipe is amazing! I made a double batch of brownies and one cookie. The first time I did 2 and it was WAY too much cookie dough, but I saved it and put in the freezer 😀

  4. Thanks for the awesome treat! It is so delicious. I did it with the linked browie recipie and it turned out fine. The recipie does make too much cookie dough, and baking it for 30 minutes doesn’t leave the cookie dough 100% cooked through. I recommend cooking it around 40 minutes. Over all, delicious recipie! I will definitely be making it again.

  5. The chocolate chip cookie dough didn’t cook all the way. Do not use the 8×8 pan. The recipe made too much chocolate chip cookie dough for this size pan.

  6. I used the homage beownie recipe and they turned out salty😂 the cookie dough tasted amazing though, I need more work on baking

  7. I bought the Devil’s cake mix by mistake, could I use that instead of brownie mix, how would the recipe change, could your please tell me, Thank you

    1. I think you should… it topped over my 9X9 and is taking a long time to bake

  9. These are honestly stunning- who doesn’t love a cookie and a brownie together? Your photos are killer, too 🙂
