In a medium bowl prepare the spice rub by combining paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, pepper and salt.
Generously sprinkle the spice rub over the top of the filets and coat them evenly.
Grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the salmon, skin side down.
Set the air fryer to “air fry” setting at 390 degrees F for 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
Serve the salmon with asparagus and lemon on the sides and enjoy.
Notes
To cook frozen salmon: Add to the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes, open the air fryer basket and brush with oil and spices and continue coking for an additional 10 minutes or until cooked through.
