Incredible Garlic Butter Mushrooms are cooked in a simple combination of butter, garlic and herbs until tender and so flavorful! This easy recipe is the perfect finishing touch to your main dish, and can be ready to serve in less than 15 minutes!
In a large pan over medium-high heat, add the onion, butter, and olive oil. Cook onion down for 3-4 minutes or until softened.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes then add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until fragrant. Stir in parsley, chili flakes, and salt & pepper, to taste.
Cook for about 2 minutes or until the liquid reduces down a bit. Finish with a drizzle of lemon juice and garnish with more parsley if desired; serve immediately.
Notes
Storing leftovers: Place mushrooms in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Reheating. Warm leftover mushrooms in a skillet on the stovetop over medium-low heat or in the microwave.
Freezing. Place in an airtight freezer-safe storage container and freeze for up to 3 months. Let thaw overnight in the refrigerator or for about an hour at room temperature before reheating.
