Chicken breasts cooked in a creamy garlic parmesan cream sauce. This quick and flavorful one skillet 20-minute dish is great on with pasta or a side of veggies!
Creamy Parmesan Garlic Chicken Garlic and parmesan are a match made in heaven. I’m addicted to garlic. I love the smell and flavor of garlic simmering in olive oil or butter. There really is no better aroma or flavor. Add parmesan to the fragrant garlic and you’ve got yourself a flavor combo that is out of this world.

This quick and tasty garlic and parmesan chicken is super easy to make so it’s great for busy weeknights when you just need to whip up something fast. It’s all made in one pan in under 20 minutes. The chicken is first cooked in olive oil and seasoned with just salt and pepper. After the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the pan and add some minced garlic to the same pan. Cook the garlic for no more than 30 seconds just to until it begins to turn golden.

The next step is adding the cream, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. I used light cream but heavy cream will work too! If you’re a fan of spinach like we are, toss in a cup of chopped spinach at this point! Simmer the sauce for a few minutes then return the chicken to the pan. Enjoy this creamy chicken on pasta or with a side of veggies!

  1. Will be making several of these recipes in this group of creamy chicken dishes. They all show the nutritional value of these recipes except for this one, Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken. I’m will assume it is approximately the same as the others.
Two reason why I need the nutritional value is that 1) trying to lose a few pounds. 2) I’m diabetic and I keep a close watch on my carbs.
If you have this information, will you please e-mail it to me.
    Thank you in advance.

  2. Absolutely delicious! I had very thick chicken breasts so turned the heat lower to cook thoroughly after the initial browning. it took a lot longer than 5-6 minutes per side, not a big deal. will definitely be making again.

  3. So good! And so easy! I had some leftover grilled chicken and it was a perfect way to make a new dish! Yummmmmy!

  6. This was so good and easy to make! I didn’t add the Italian seasonings and used Heavy cream because that is what I had in the refrigerator after making Penne ala Vodka. I will definitely make it again but use light cream because I found the sauce to be too rich for me and I will also add mushrooms.

  7. This recipe came out amazing 5stars all the way. I ended up halving larger chicken breasts, and had absolutely no problem there. I used a cast iron pan. They cooked perfectly and super tender, full of flavor. I wouldn’t change a thing to this recipe.

  8. This is absolutely amazing! I couldn’t get enough of it. Shared it with my mother and sister. No joke. This will be in my recipe book forever more. Only thing is that I added onion and tomatoes because they’re favorites of mine. Lol

  9. Family all love it! We serve with crispy potatoes and broccoli.
Just wish I knew the calories in each portion.

  14. This is such a great and easy recipe! It’s so easy and delicious that I showed my daughter how to make it, and even she (who cannot boil water — lol) can do it! Question: what do you think about making it in a crock pot? Would it be OK?

  15. Excellent recipe! I added mushrooms and some lemon juice to the cream sauce. My husband and son ate seconds. Definitely a new one for my rotation.

    1. I agree – chicken Is not really cooked in this short time unless the breasts are sliced horizontally. I also add more of all the sauce ingredients, as it is such a simple, great tasting sauce.

  19. hey thank you for putting this recipe out. i’m 15 and my sister is 13 and this helped us make a dinner for our family because my parents have covid. this meal was delicious, Thank you!

  20. Great recipe! But how do you get the sauce to stay white? It eventually turns kinda brown by the time I’m finished. Possibly due to the oil? Do you transfer the chicken to a new pan after you cook the chicken and before you add the cream?

    1. cook the chicken and then take the chicken out of the pan and put it on a plate and then wash the pan and then make your sauce then put chicken back in. the Browing is from the oil. hope this helps. good luck!
