While you were vacationing in Disney, did you get the chance to taste the Dole Whip? It is a frozen treat that people often look forward to when traveling to Disney. If you are in the mood for it but have no plans on traveling to Disney in the near future, you can prepare it at home. Not only will you love this frozen treat, but so will the rest of your family. You will only need a handful of ingredients and a blender or food processor to prepare this tasty treat.

What Do You Need to Make Dole Whip?

Believe it or not, you will only need three primary ingredients. The ingredients include:

  • Frozen Pineapple Chunks
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

You probably have these three ingredients at home. If so, you can blend them together to create a flavorful frozen dessert that you and your children will love. Along with these three ingredients, it helps to have a piping bag with a star nozzle that you can use to serve the Dole Whip in glass serving bowls.

How Do You Make the Dole Whip?

Make the Dole Whip with ease in your blender or food processor. Start by adding your pineapple chunks into a blender. After you add the chunks of pineapple, pour in the pineapple juice and add your cup of vanilla ice cream.

Put the lid on your blender or food processor and begin blending until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.

Pour the ingredients from the blender or food processor into a large piping bag with a star nozzle attachment. You can carefully pipe the whip into a serving glass and serve it immediately while it is still fresh and cold.

Different Variations of the Dole Whip

While the pineapple flavor is the most common Dole Whip flavor, you can prepare different variations. If you do not like pineapple or do not want it, some of the other variations to consider trying include mango, strawberry, and raspberry. If you decide to use these other ingredients, you would simply remove the pineapple chunks and replace them with a different frozen fruit. You can keep the pineapple juice or replace it with mango, raspberry, or strawberry juice.

Can You Make Dole Whip in Advance and Store It?

While you can make Dole Whip in advance and store it for a few hours, it is far better to prepare it when you plan on serving it. If you make it too far in advance, it might not have the same taste. The texture of the whip might change. If you decide to put it in the freezer for a little bit, make sure you put it in an airtight container. You would need to let it thaw a bit in the fridge before adding it to a piping bag.
