Chicken and broccoli cooked in a garlic butter sauce all in one pan in just 20 Minutes! This filling nutritious meal can be served with rice, bread, or as is for a tasty low-carb dinner at just 5 net carbs per serving!

One-pan meals are my go-to meals when cooking dinner in a hurry on a weeknight. They’re super quick & easy to make, usually loaded with flavor, and because it’s one pan, clean up is a breeze!

This garlic butter chicken is a MUST TRY. It’s all cooked in one pan in under 20 minutes and I promise it will become your new favorite weeknight dinner. The chicken and broccoli are cooked in a flavorful garlic butter lemon sauce that comes together in the pan.

Garlic Butter Chicken & Broccoli (20 Minutes!)

Broccoli Alternatives

For this dish, I love using broccoli or broccolini (baby broccoli) just because I enjoy the crunch of the broccoli steams and also. because broccoli is super nutritious and delicious.

If broccoli is not your thing, Truth be told, the broccoli can be replaced with just about any other quick-cooking veggies. Zucchini, asparagus, green beans, or any other greens all work very well. To replace the broccoli with veggies that take longer to cook, simply steam them first then add to the pan after they are almost fully cooked.

If you are on a low-carb, whole 30, or keto diet, then simply serve the dish as is and it will be enough to serve 3-4 people.

If you are a carb lover or want a little more on the plate, serve the chicken and broccoli with a side of rice, mashed or roasted potatoes, salad, or bread.

  1. Wow! My husband said this was the best dinner I had ever made. Thanks for the recipe!

  2. Delicious! The only thing we would change is perhaps not salting the chicken with seasoning, the rest was perfect. Kids gave it a thumbs up!!

  3. This Butter Garlic Chicken and Broccoli recipe is a weeknight wonder! The flavors blend perfectly, with just the right amount of spice. The addition of lemon adds a delightful acidity that brings the dish to life. Plus, it’s a breeze to prepare in a single skillet. Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a flavorful and easy meal option!

  4. This was delicious! It is very adaptable to make with different seasonings or vegetables on hand. We will definitely make this again & again. The photos and video that accompanied the post are super helpful too. Many thanks for posting such great content!

  5. I made this dish with a couple of tweaks. It turned out great, and my husband and I loved it!

  6. I found this recipe because I had some broccoli I needed to use up and I am blown away. This is incredibly delicious and so easy!! It tastes like a fancy restaurant and I’m obsessed. SO GOOD.

  7. This recipe was extremely easy to follow. I loved that there was a video and it tasted fantastic!

  8. This was so, so good! The flavor was amazing and it turned out so well. I didnโ€™t love it with the broccoli but I think I needed to cook it longer. I want to try it with green beans next time and maybe asparagus. I used brown rice as a side with it.

  9. I loved this dish. It was so delicious and easy to make and it is so healthy dish.

  10. I made this with frozen chopped broccoli. I cut the chicken before returning it to the pan. Served over rice. Was very happy.

  11. Super easy and fast and sooo goood a lot of flavor love it thank you

  12. I donโ€™t understand why they show broccolini and talk about broccoli.

  13. This was pretty good and fairly easy to make. I recommend cutting the chicken a bit thinner if you have thick slices so it cooks faster. Mine took twice as long as the recipe said to cook the chicken. The flavor on this was good, but I made the mistake of tossing the brocolli in the seasoning it was cooking in to better coat it and it got WAY to heavily seasoned and salty. Would be better if I just cooked it in it without trying to get it all over it and also I overcooked it. I fault myself for messing up the brocolli though. This was really good flavor though. The red pepper flakes added more kick to it than I enjoy, so I will likely leave those out next time, but my fiance enjoyed the spice.

  14. Just tried it today minus the lemon juice and it was soooo goood!!! Couldn’t even finish my plate cause the kids kept eating mine and theirs. Will make more with lemon juice next time.

  15. I tried making this with carrots since i had no green vegetable at home. It was sooo good but im going to try again with broccoli next time! Oh and i added some brown sugar, argh im salivating already! Thank you for this super recipe!

  16. Made with asparagus. Excellent & so much flavor. Husband, daughter, granddaughter all loved it. I didn’t have the exact measurements so eye balled the video on YouTube. Will use measurements next time to see what the difference in taste is, but was so good can’t imagine there can be much difference. It’s a winner & a keeper!! Has already been requested again.

    1. Good recipe but too much salt. If using broccoli you have to partially cook it first or it will never be done. I did mine in the micro and then returned it to the pan. Might make again with some doctoring.

  17. This was so tasty! The spices made it. Full of flavor.

  18. Was sKeptical of the taste, but it turned out amazing. It was full of flavour. Try it guys, its Quick too.
