Chicken breasts cooked in a creamy garlic parmesan cream sauce. This quick and flavorful one skillet 20-minute dish is great on with pasta or a side of veggies!
Creamy Parmesan Garlic Chicken Garlic and parmesan are a match made in heaven. I’m addicted to garlic. I love the smell and flavor of garlic simmering in olive oil or butter. There really is no better aroma or flavor. Add parmesan to the fragrant garlic and you’ve got yourself a flavor combo that is out of this world.

This quick and tasty garlic and parmesan chicken is super easy to make so it’s great for busy weeknights when you just need to whip up something fast. It’s all made in one pan in under 20 minutes. The chicken is first cooked in olive oil and seasoned with just salt and pepper. After the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the pan and add some minced garlic to the same pan. Cook the garlic for no more than 30 seconds just to until it begins to turn golden.

The next step is adding the cream, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. I used light cream but heavy cream will work too! If you’re a fan of spinach like we are, toss in a cup of chopped spinach at this point! Simmer the sauce for a few minutes then return the chicken to the pan. Enjoy this creamy chicken on pasta or with a side of veggies!

        1. Absolutely fantastic! Will definitely be making this again and again!

  1. I love it mine is turning out really good

  2. I just made this wonderful simple chicken recipe! It was so delicious and I can hardly wait to make it again.
I was wondering if you think adding some fresh mushrooms mihht work here. Not that it needs anything extra. I made it the way the recipe said and I can hardly wait to tuck into the left overs. Thanks so much.

    1. I tried it with fresh mushrooms! It is delicious! Instead of spinach I use broccoli coking both with the chicken! Poured it all over the chicken and a baked potato! YUMMY! Will make it for company! So easy!!

    1. I don’t recommend feezing creamy sauces as they may split when reheating but it does hold up well in the fridge.

  3. I’m not commenting on the recipes. I’m trying to find out how long this chicken stays okay to eat .. good.. in the fridge.
i can’t find any information regarding this anyplace. Can you help please.

    1. I go with five days as long as i looks and smells fine. The USDA or FDA says a week.

    1. You would need to use an immersion blender to blend until smooth!

  4. I have made this recipe MANY times. It is one of my go-to’s! Very delcious.

  5. Easy recipe to make. I decided to deglaze the pan after cooking the chicken with 1/4 c. chicken stock and reduced to half. I wasnt sure if the cream would be able to loosen the good bits. I think that 1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning is way too much. It took quite awhile for the dried herbs to soften and it has a very strong tasting. Next time make the dish, I’m going to use 1 teaspoon and add more if needed.

  6. so rich creamy and delicious. I mixed in some ratatouille I had made the night before instead of spinach, used egg noodles and chicken tenders. just wow, and so easy and quick. I loved that I could easily downsize the recipe for 1 or 2.

  7. Make extra sauce,, it’s so good, you’ll want more!!
Can’t wait to make it again!

  8. Five stars! The only thing I did different was made 3x the sauce to add over my pasta and made it a pasta dish. Thank you so much!

  9. Do you happen to have the nutritional chart for this meal?

  10. Could I make this with a bachemel instead of the cream?

  11. Omg! Cooking this tonight, and my mouth is watering, ready for it to be done!! I changed things up a bit.. as i have such a large family.. i made it all on the stove, but poured it over my chicken in a baking dish and popped that in the oven. It toasted the cheese a bit.. mm mmm good!! Lol!!

  12. this is so good pure comfort food and my grand daughter loves it too thank you!

  13. Amazing recipe! So simple yet so effective. One of mine and my boyfriends favs!

  16. I made this dish last night and it was absolutely delicious❣️Everyone enjoyed it will be making this one again

  17. Family loved this but I left out Italian seasoning by accident and chose to use half Asiago in place of Parmesan which gave it a fabulous punch. Will definitely make this again!

  18. Sounded good and read all of the great comments… it’s not great, Italian seasoning over powered this dish, would have been better with salt, pepper, and garlic only.

  19. Phenomenal. So easy to make and so flavorful! A new favorite of mine. Thanks, Layla.

    1. Forgot to mention that I substituted canned coconut milk for the cream and served with rice. Delicious! Didn’t taste like coconut at all.

  20. Not sure if I missed the nutritional information, what’s the calories and fat per serving?

  21. Fabulous dish. Made extra sauce for the rice I served with it. Can’t say enough about this dish. Everyone should try it. You won’t be sorry.

  22. Made this last night. It was really tasty! Too much Italian seasoning, next time I’ll cut it or not even use it.
    Served with steamed broccoli. Yum!!

  23. Yum! Made this for dinner tonight served with rice. Added some mushrooms. Such an easy tasty dinner

  24. Made this tonight for my family! Including grandchildren! Oh my what a hit! Served with Jasmine rice and corn. Only thing left is the corn. They have already requested I make it again. Thanks a bunch

  25. Yessssss ma’am! So glad I found this recipe! Delicious!

  26. This was delicious! I did double the batch.
Instead of spinach I used Baby Bella mushrooms. I fried with the garlic in oil but added 2 tablespoons if butter. This recipe is a keeper for sure and so easy to make! I made spinach ricotta ravioli and the sauce was great on that!

  27. I was looking for simple, quick, easy and flavorful. And this is definitely it! It was a huge hit in my house. Will definitely be making it again. I made it with boneless chicken thighs, mushrooms and spinach with white rice! Yes! Thank you! It was awesome!!! I absolutely recommend this dish. Especially for big families! 😍

  28. This was delicious! Made it with spinach, and I didn’t have pasta so I made rice.

  29. Didn’t substitute anything! Followed the recipe exactly. I just up the servings size to 8. It was sooo delicious! Highly recommend! We like extra sauce so that’s the only thing I will do differently next time, make extra sauce.

  30. It’s amazing how one recipe can be changed so many ways and remain so tasty. I used shrimp, canned coconut milk, goat cheese and threw in broccoli. Delish! It’s the basis for many different meals to come. A little dry white wine didn’t hurt. By the way this is my first post. Wow!

  31. Love this recipe!!! I’ve made it several times and it’s always delicious. I was thinking about trying it in the crock pot tonight but not sure how it will turn out… any thoughts?

    1. I’ve actually only made this in the crockpot and several times. If you add spinach or anything just wait until the last five minutes or so. I also add chopped tomatoes at this time. Otherwise you can dump everything in the crockpot – I prefer to cook low for 6 hours but you can cook it on high instead. I also prefer to cut the chicken in bite size pieces beforehand.

  32. This was super easy and really delicious!!! Will definitely be one of our weeknight favorites.

    1. Easy and nice change for chicken if only I could
Eat pasta on keto it would have been bliss

      1. OMG YESS THIS IS GONNA BE ONE OF OUR DISHES, I’VE USED MOZZARELLA INSTEAD AND IT WAS ALSO DELICIOUS!! WE LOVED IT!!
