How to Make Dubai Chocolate Stuffed Dates
Make Filling: The filling is made by toasting katifiti which is a Middle Eastern shredded phyllo and pistachio cream.
Stuffed Dates: The dates are then stuffed with the pistachio katifi mixture. Be sure not to cut all the way through the dates so the filling stays put.
Drizzle with Chocolate: Lastly, the dates are drizzled with a layer of melted chocolate of choice. If you want these dates to be super chocolatey, dip all the dates into the chocolate mixture!
Place the dates in the fridge to set for 15-20 minutes. See the full recipe details below!
Recipe Variations
The Pastry: Replace the katifii with shredded phyllo pastry or your favorite crushed cookies.
The Filling: the original Dubai chocolate used pistachio but this recipe will also work with Biscoff, Nutella, or almond butter.
Feel free to try different flavor combos and see what you like best. We love a mixture of Biscoff with crushed Biscoff cookies, Nutella with crushed hazelnuts, or almond/peanut butter with crushed pretzels.
