The best soft and fluffy low-carb Keto bread made with almond flour in the microwave in just 90 seconds. It’s great for sandwiches, grilled cheese, with butter and much more!
If you’re on a low-carb, paleo or keto diet then you’re going to fall in love with this keto bread recipe. It’s so soft, fluffy and delicious, you’ll find it hard to believe that it’s actually keto. It’s all made in the microwave in just 90 seconds!
This bread is perfect for the mornings when you need a slice of bread to serve with your egg and bacon, for a breakfast or lunch sandwich, or for making grilled cheese. It’s perfectly soft and holds up great, especially when toasted.
For the bowl, I like to use a large ramekin or any small microwave-safe bowl. If you’re making grilled cheese, a small square sandwich size container works great.
To Make Microwave Keto Bread, You will Need:
1 egg
1 Tablespoon butter or oil
3 Tablespoons Almond Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
To make, simply combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and pour into a greased microwave-safe bowl or ramekin. Microwave for 90 seconds. Flip out of the ramekin and slice in half.
To toast: butter a pan or skillet over medium heat and toast the bread until golden and crispy. Alternatively, toast in a toaster.

I have made This 3 times now, great sub for gluten bread.
I use MCT oil in place of butter, and just mix it all up in my ramekin, pop it in the microwave. Today i added my mixture of Turmeric, ginger and pepper for a little cancer fighting BOOST

Sorry about the caps
Great for hamburgers!
Great idea! Thanks
Wow the microwave keto bread is amazing… perfect for sandwiches… without the guilt…. 😀👌
BANGin! so glad i can add this to my keto life. Yes the bread smells and tastes like egg but the key is to toast it after you make it & slice it, add CHEese and turn that bad boy into a breakfast sandwich! its bomb gimme delicious is amazing
Great, just have to try it.
This was really good. Any idea if it will keep in the fridge or on ice for a few days? I’m going camping and I want to be able to take some with me.
Love the recipe! Confused about THe carb content. When I add it up I get 7. 6 front the almond flour one from The egg??
Just made this and it was great! Perfect for a BLT. Yum!
A perfect bread SUBSTITUTE and great for breakfast SANDWICHES.
I haven’t tried the recipe yet, but I have a question. Would I be able to substitute Coconut or cassava flour for the almond flour? the last time I ate almonds I though I would die from the pain in my gut, so i’m trying to avoid that again. Would I use the same 1:1 ratio?
It says to use 1 tbsp of coconut flour instead if 3 tbsp’s almond flour
And what’s with the weird intermittent CAPS lock on the comments box?
Me again. I’ve used this recipe dozens of TIMES with varying results. I wonder if it’s because you are using volumes (tbspn, tspn) instead of weights (grams/ozs). Did you realise that a metric tbspn is different to an imperial tbspb?
Also I’m wondering if you read any of our feedback because you haven’t replied to Anything. Am I wasting my time ASKING questions?
And what’s with the weird intermittent CAPS lock on the comments box?
no
That tastes so good. I put a bit of xanthan gum in mine Because I always do in my baking. Thank you
I waited awhile to try this, certain it would be blah but decided to give it a go. I did add a pinch of salt and I used Brummel and brown butter, made with yogurt, as it lowered the fat and calories. toasted and spread some sugar free strawberry preserves. really good! texture took a bit to get used to but so excited to be able to eat bread! not on keto but recently diagnosed as diabetic so bread is a nono bc of all the carbs.
This is totally my fault for not reading through the whole post first but I just thought i’d mention that you didn’t say anything about an egg in the first part of the post where you list the ingredients. I know it’s listed in the actual printable reicpe, but of course I was so excited, I didn’t read that far down.
The leavening does that. Try using 50/50 baking soda to baking powder. I do that now with all keto baking and works and tastes better.
I originally tried this recipe using baking soda vs powder, huge MISTAKE. It made the bread extremely bitter and DISSATISFYING. I was convinced it wasn’t great at all, until I went grocery SHOPPING, and bought baking poweder and GAVE it a second try. Man, I’m glad I did! It was delicious!
I’m on a Keto diet i ENTERED THIS FANTASTIC RECIPE FOR KETO BREAD INTO MYFITNESSPAL APP AND IT GIVES ME 302 CALORIES PER SERVING AND YOUR RECIPE INDICATES THAT IT’S 220 CALORIES. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT OR IF MYFITNESSPAL IS GOING BONKERS.
SORRY FOR CAPS
Why are you counting calories? you don’t do that on keto
Yes you do when calculating all macros.
Wow. This is easy to do. No more Missing Bread. Toasted with sliced avocado, Tomato and cheese Makes a Tasty Easy Lunch
Or Fill With LeftoVer Salad and If YoU’re Meat Eater, Add Either Sliced Meat, ChickeN Having This Bread As a Regular Sandwich Has Kept Me on The ‘Straight And Narrow’ IT’s Satisfying. Prefer It toasted.Thank You,Gimme Delicious!
I used your rescipie, added a 1/4 tsp if cinnamon, sprinkled on some keto trail mix and added sugar free maple syrup. Best pancake ever 😍
Yum, a sweet version sounds delicious!

THANK YOU!!! i have been a bread & sandwich fiend forever. I have been on Keto, just starting my week 8 and missing bread terribly. I put off making this for a couple of weeks thinking it would be crap. OMG, so good. Strange coming out of the microwave, so soft, but out of the toaster, so good. Will be making a few ahead to do for lunches.

SORRY about the caps, I couldn’t get it to post in small letters 🙁
This is good! It’s nice to be able to have bread without the guilt.
Do you have any suggestionS on what to substitute for the egg(allergy)?
Are you using this recipe for a keto diet? I haven’t tried this bread without eggs because most keto recipes consist of eggs but I would suggest trying it out with a flax egg and see how that works out.
Whoever thought of this recipe should be given an Academy Award for food!! Fantastic so happy I could have bread
Thanks for the glowing review and 5 stars! So glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Made it, toasted it, was soo good. Will make again
Love it! I use 2 TBSp ALMONd flour and 1 tbsp coconut flour and a tsp of melted butter. Perfect.
When I was trying this it showed all caps. So now it looks like I can’t write. Lol.
I is that all that you put in it?
1st attempt and as good as the instructions.. perfect, had mine toasted with a typical British covering of marmite. Very tasty and look forward to experimenting.
Followed this to the t and came out well! Lught and fluffy. Will be a staple from now on..thank you for posting.
So, 5 stars For me. Loved It. The only thing I did different was use bicarb soda and I used 6 tbsp of almond meal. It toasted awesome on pan with mozzarella. Love THIS!!!!
Made this with coconut flour, it was very dry not enough moisture. It was inedible. Thumbs down!
the recipe calls for almond flour, not coconut flour. What did you expect??? Idiots that can’t follow a recipe don’t have the right to comment. But the caps lock thing on comments is weird.
I Would caution everyone to calculate your own nutrition values. Made by recipe, with bob’s red mill alMond flour, this is 7 net carbs for me. Luckily it’s breakfast so it hasn’T screwed up my keto today.
First keto bread recipe i have tried, it’s pretty good. Just ate it toasted with butter.
I’ve been told that baking powders containing aluminium (?) can cause THis.
I buy organic non aluminium baking powder.
Hi. Could you Please provide macros per 100 grams, instead of Percentage per “Daily allowance” so that I can add it to my diet PLANNER software. Thank you.
Thank you for such a quick, keto alternative for bread! Loved it.
Can this recipe be frozen, and stored in air tight container?
I tried it with coconut flour and it turned out FINE.Wondered if I could add asmidge of salt or some herbs for a bit more flavor.
I made it this morning with about 2 tsp of grated PARMESAN, a pinch of herbs d’provence, and a dash of fresh ground black pepper and it was fantastic.
Love love love! This recipe is way better than another one I tried using that called for peanut butter. This will become a staple. Thank you! 🙂
I just tried this with almond flour. Not bad. I ate half with my breakfast. Will save the other for lunch. Not a bad bread to go with an egg and turkey bavon. Would be good with jam too.
