These 15 Minute Air Fryer Bagels are chewy, soft, and insanely delicious. They’re made with just 3 ingredients and can easily be customized with a variety of yummy toppings.
We love eating bagels for breakfast, but did you know they also make terrific sandwiches too? We will add some turkey, chicken, or veggies and enjoy a delicious and simple lunch idea.
The fact that I can quickly and easily make these incredible bagels in my air fryer is even better. I feel like they taste a ton better than what you can pick up in a bakery too. So, as you can imagine, we frequently make them.
What I enjoy about these bagels is they can be made to be sweet or savory. We more often than not add savory toppings because they go with so many meals. Let’s get started so you can make a batch or two soon!
What You Need To Make 15 Minute Air Fryer Bagels
- Unbleached all-purpose flour: Using all-purpose flour is a must when making these divine bagels.
- Baking powder: The baking powder will make the bagels nice and fluffy, just like we are used to.
- Kosher salt: A little bit of salt makes them perfect every time. It enhances the flavors and is so important.
- Plain nonfat Greek yogurt: It’s important to use plain yogurt and nothing that is flavored. If you use flavored, it is going to make the bagels taste a lot different than what we are aiming for.
- Egg: Beat an egg and use it to brush on top of the bagels. This will give them a gorgeous golden brown color on top.
How To Make 15 Minute Air Fryer Bagels
If you haven’t made bagels before, I understand if you are worried that they would be difficult. However, they are actually one of my most easy recipes.
You will need to begin by mixing the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Then pour in the Greek yogurt and give it a stir.
Roll the dough into a ball and put it on a surface that has been sprinkled with flour. Cut the dough into eight equal sized parts. Then roll the pieces into a rope just like you did as a kid when you played with playdough. Pinch the edges together and make a bagel shape, then brush with the egg and add toppings.
Cook the bagels in your air fryer for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. When they are golden brown, they are done. Allow them to cool at least 5 minutes, then you can slice and serve. Enjoy!
Air Fryer Bagels Topping Ideas
Here are a few of the toppings that I use frequently. Keep in mind you can also use other toppings, but these are something to inspire you.
- Everything Bagel Seasoning: If you haven’t tried this seasoning yet, it’s a must. It’s seriously so incredible!
- Shredded Cheddar or Asiago Cheese: I am smacking my lips, thinking about eating a bagel with cheese. Both options are fantastic.
- Sesame Seeds: Sprinkle a few sesame seeds on top and enjoy your bagel. Yum!
- Poppy Seeds: Not only does adding poppy seeds give the bagels some added flavor and texture, but they also make them look so gourmet too.

Made these yesterday for the 1st and they were a hit .
Great recipe, my family enjoyed it son much had to make another batch the following day. I folded in some shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeรฑosโฆdelicious. Thank you
Can I sub with plain regular yogurt?
Yes that works just make sure it’s full fat!
Iโve used this recipes a bunch of times and always had perfect bagels as a result. Iโve served them to friends on several occasions and were told these were some of the best bagels theyโve had. They taste so good the day they are made, but also taste great a few days later too if stored in an airtight container or ziplock! I love how easy this recipe is and how fast it is! Canโt go wrong. So good.
So happy to hear that, Kirsten!
Could oat flour be a substitute?
I’m going to make these tomorrow. How long do you need to knead it for?
Thanks!
These are amazing we love them.. question though.. do you turn them 1/2 way through???
So happy to hear! I don’t turn them!
These bagels were amazing! Huge hit with my husband and 3 year old too. I made everything seasoning and cheese. My husband has already said I need to make these weekly! So fluffy and delicious.
Yum, thanks for sharing the photo!
I measured everything but dough came out super sticky. Had a hard time rolling into ropes. Ended up adding a whole cup of flour, 1/4 cup at a time, just to be able to handle the dough. Now i have a giant mess to clean up. Cant say I’m not disappointed…
You have to knead the dough. The more you knead it the more elastic and stretchy it will become.
OMG. this was the easiest recipe. The bagels were light, fluffy, and better than any bagel I have eaten.
Made these tonight. They came out really good. I used Asia to cheese for most of them, because that is my favorite Panera bagel. The only difference between the two was the size.. I will definitely make more of these and try out different toppings. Thanks for the recipe!
Enjoy!
Where is the print option?
Great easy recipe. Love it. After waiting for at least 5 min (probably closer to 10) tasted the first one. Came out more like a bun as I didnโt make a big enough โoโ. I missed just a tad of sweetness, even though I wasnโt making a sweet bagel. Love sesame so that was my topping but still thought it needed something. 2nd one was already cooling & 3rd one was half baked but sprinkled some turbano sugar on & added some to the 4th unbaked one. Next time I make 1/2 recipe again (probably in 4 days) I will add a touch of some kind of sweetener in the dough instead of on top. Maybe will try some cheese on top instead of sesame seeds, then again maybe both. If you havenโt guessed have a very small air fryer. Living alone, you donโt need very big anything.
Yum! My grandson wanted bagels and his mom had sent me this recipe. I make my Greek yogurt and only had about a cup left so I had to cut the recipe in half. OMG! I want to make more. Iโm not a cook, Iโm a recipe follower so Iโm not good with replacements. Do you think I could use blended up cottage cheese until my yogurt is ready (it takes 36 hours). I canโt wait to make these for my husband.
These were pretty good. They took about 22 minutes to cook through as normal size of bagels, I`ve also tried making them smaller and letting them rest as you suggested and still took over 20 minutes. Also this recipe is 4 ingredients not 3- flour, baking powder, yogurt and salt. 5 if you count the brushed egg for the top. Might want to change this recipe to reflect that.

These were so good! I had some Greek yogurt about to go bad in the fridge and have heard of people making bagels in the air fryer with it and saw this recipe had great reviews. I think I could even cut the recipe down in half for a small batch. I was a little short on yogurt so I added some sour cream. I will totally be having these for breakfast on the regular!
We did this recipe and loved it! So fast and easy to do! We tried out the everything bagel seasoning and the cheddar cheese and both were a hit. We also did one with sesame seeds but I didnโt toast them prior and we did not like that one. Made a double batch to freeze some down for later.
Perfect for a snack or toasted for breakfast. Curious to try more flavors! Thanks for the recipe!
These sound terrific. Can you use white whole wheat flour?
Can they be individually frozen before cooking?
So good!
They were great. I had to improvise a little because I was short on the Greek yogurt (10.6 oz). I used sour cream to bring the wet ingredients to 16 oz. will be making them again with more toppings. Thanks for the recipe
perfect for a college student on a budget!! so yummy and so easy!!
I make my bagels really big and I airfry them for 20 minutes . I double the recipe .
My best friend sent me this and These were DELICIOUS! I added more flour bec FF yogurt will be more watery. Added a pinch of baking soda and more salt. I air fryed it but had to double the time and increased the temp for color. Put pretzel salt on top of the ones I shaped like a roll. Theyโre more soft than anything and were yummy. Thank you!
Can non-Greek yogurt be used?
You can use full-fat yogurt but you would need to add a little more flour.
Definitely going to try these! My son LOVES blueberry and cinnamon raisin bagels. Think the blueberries/raisins will mix well? I was thinking Iโd need to add them to the dry mixture first to prevent sinking lol Thoughts?
Blueberries do tend to stick but I would add them in the end after kneading so they don’t burst.
that is more than 3 ingredients.
Thank you, mathematician, for your comment.
I mixed everything together then realized that I’d used vanilla Greek yogurt. Uhg! Threw in some cinnamon and raisins and it was AMAZING! The vanilla yogurt made it just a little sweet without tasting like dessert. BIG HIT! Can’t wait to try the recipe as written.
These came out absolutely perfect and took barely any time! I donโt think I will buy grocery store bagels again. Thank you for the great recipe!
With having yogurt . Can these be left out
? Or refrigerated
Yes, they can be left at room temperature since the yogurt is cooked.
Are these supposed to be more โwetโ and โgummyโ on the inside than a regular bagel? theyโre good, but they are not the same texture as a normal bagel. Definitely more wet, even with more cooking time.
Inside is doughy no matter how long I cook them…what am I doing wrong? Otherwise, delicious!
I’m not sure what went wrong! did you change anything in the recipe?
Important to let them cool off for 5 minutes or they will be gummy
Really good and easy to make!
Can I substitute almond flour for white flour to reduce carbs? If so, do I have to change anything else? I am sooo looking forward to making these! Thanks for your help!
The ratios would be a little off and require more recipe testing. If you do try it, please let us know how it turned out!
I love this recipe. The bagels are delicious right out of the airfryer. There’s nothing better than a NY bagel but these are second best. I originally got this recipe on skinny fit site.
I love bagels. I wanted to try to make my own but Iโm allergic to milk. I canโt eat anything that has it. Is there a way I can substitute the yogurt?
@Melissa, there are dairy free yogurts out there. I use So Delicious plain yogurt (diluted) as a buttermilk substitute when making biscuits for my vegan son. I think undiluted would work.
