How To Make Cheeseburger Eggrolls

Once you realize how simple and easy it is to make eggrolls that taste like cheeseburgers, you’ll be keeping all the needed supplies on hand for when the next craving strikes.

Start by heating up a pan on the stove and spraying it with cooking oil. Add the diced onion and bell pepper and saute until they are softened.

Once softened, add the beef and the spices and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the beef is cooked all the way through.

In a different skillet, add the oil and heat it up to 350 degrees.

Grab an egg roll wrapper and add 2 tablespoons of the cooked cheeseburger filling into the middle. Be sure to leave an inch on each side of the wrap.

Add 1/2 slice of cheddar cheese (or 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese) and fold the corner that’s closest to you over the mixture. Tuck that corner under the filling. Then fold both side corners towards the middle of the wrapper.

Dip clean fingers into egg water and run it along the edges to seal and roll the eggroll tightly.

Fry the egg rolls in batches, about 1-2 minutes per side, until they are golden and crispy.

For a healthier alternative, try air fryer the egg rolls. The result is delicious crispy egg rolls every time! To air-fry: generously spray egg rolls with oil. Cook for 10 minutes at 375F, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Serve with your favorite dip or this amazing Burger Sauce.

Why do my eggrolls keep unrolling while being fried?

Using the egg water mixture is key to sealing the edges well. You have to make sure to apply it to all edges and then the eggrolls tightly before frying them.

If they are lost and not sealed well, they are not going to cook correctly in the hot oil. Sealing them properly will prevent this from happening.

Why are my eggrolls soggy?

If the cooked eggrolls are soggy, this is a big indicator that the oil isn’t as hot as it needs to be. You can use a thermometer that is used to test the oil temperatures to make sure that it’s at least 350 degrees.

How do I store leftover eggrolls?

Once the eggrolls cool down to room temperature, store them in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge.

When reading to eat, pop them into the microwave and reheat until warmed all the way. They can also be reheated in an air fryer for about 2-3 minutes to get that crunchy outer crust again.

What foods pair well with eggrolls?

Since eggrolls are typically served as an appetizer, they pair really well with other types of appetizer foods and dishes.

Some fun pairing options could be:

Or anything else that is crave-worthy. Don’t forget to make this Burger Sauce recipe for dipping fun – as it really completes the whole burger flavor and taste!
