I’m going to admit, ever since spring started I’ve been trying to lose a few pounds. One of my all time favorite fun and easy ways to shed a few pounds during the summer is to drink a glass of refreshing smoothie every day either for breakfast or dinner.
Smoothies fill you up for a long time and when made without sugars or added sweeteners can be a great way to get an intake of fruits and vegetables.
This strawberry banana smoothie is made with just 3 ingredients. Strawberries, bananas, and milk (low-fat or non-fat) or water. You just toss all the ingredients in the blender for a few seconds until it’s nice and creamy and your done. It really doesn’t get much easier than this!
You can also customize it by adding some berries or even some kale for an even healthier smoothie.
- 1 ripe banana sliced about 1/2 cup
- 10 ounces frozen sliced strawberries you can also use fresh
- 1/2 cup milk
- Place the strawberries, bananas, and milk in a blender. Puree until smooth and creamy.
Definitely recommend this recipe I did exactly what the recipe called for except I used lactose free milk which I’m sure Tates just as good for those lactose in tolerance people out there!😊
How many calories is this smoothie?
tastes good but had the consistency of vomit lol
Can you use fresh strawberries instead of frozen
Yes, you can! I suggest adding some crushed ice in there to thicken the smoothie and cool it as well.

Yes we can definitely use as it is written very much clearly, so ya we can use those fucking fresh strawberries too!
The recipe says you can also use fresh strawberries.
Added more milk and a little bit of honey. Super easy treat. Kids loved it
I Love it nice and simple!! Would like some berry recipes ??
would it be ok to add ice?
Yes, ice works great!
If the fruit is frozen you won’t need added ice. It will dilute your smoothie
Can u use vanilla ice cream?
LOVE the recipe if you add yogurt it has more flavor
I’ve done this since I had my kids and the oldest is 38 I used this as a sweet treat for them and they thought it was a sugar filled treat. I only added cinnamon. I love it.
It’s ok, I mean, it’s good, but it doesn’t taste like the ones you would by at a restaurant or anywhere else. It’s just…different.
10 ounces of strawberry?

Strawberry-Banana is probably my favourite smoothie combination. I always use yogurt in mine and have never tried with just milk! I feel like it would have a nice, smoother texture using just milk though 🙂

Love the way you style the smoothie, very pretty and tropical! 🙂 This sounds like a great smoothie–I always like to have simple recipes like this for rushed mornings.
Can I jump with you onto this weight loss bandwagon?! Especially if it involves lots of smoothie drinking. Yum.
Hahha of course! Hop right in Joann e 😀
